I know that seems ridiculous, but I have a really awful pain around one of my teeth and it feels as though its moved back father than the rest of my teeth.

  1. No you cant grind them down further than your gums...at most to the level of the gums. If you are a grinder go see your dentist and they will make you a plate to stop you from grinding your teeth

  2. Are you a grinder? If so, this particular tooth may be the one you're grinding on the hardest. If so, it's probably feeling bruised. Think about if someone constantly punches you in the arm in the same place. Your arm would really hurt! That's what a tooth feels like if it's being grinded on or bit down hard on. You may need to have a mouthguard made, or have your bite adjusted at the dentist office.
