Does anyone know how? Where would one get seeds/and or bedding plants? Any other info I should know about?

Thank you.

  1. Yes, it is possible to grow them outside during the summer.  The plant will only grow as an annual though.  What you can do is plant the Gerbera in the ground still in its pot.  At the end of summer, dig up the pot and bring it in.  You can do this for years on end (although as it grows you will need to increase the size of the pot).  They can also be grown year-round in your house in a sunny window.

Gerberas can be found at your local greenhouse or nursery.  Mom & Pop ones that are a bit smaller may not have them, but if it is a larger operation they will definitely carry them.  Also, there are a number of nursery and seed companies online that carry them.
