Question:

Is it possible to grow a majestic palm in zone 8, i planted one in my front yard, full sun?

  1. sorry, but majestic palms are rated a zone 9b surviving only light frosts at its best.

    if you want to ty it then you should....

    first plant it next to your house.

    second make sure it faces south.

    third make sure it is protected from winter winds

    fourth in ealy november wrap the plant with burlap or if you cant find any plastic will be okay.

    fifth put leaves on the plant and make sure the leaves cover the entire plant.

    thats all you need to do. it may not survive, but if it does you will have the nicest all year plant on the block.

    also uncover it in late march when temps approach the 60s and 70s.

    if you have a warm winter it might survive.

    if your winters dont get below 25 then you might have a chance, but zone 8 is 10-20 degrees
