I think I've gotten to the point where i really dislike sleep It's annoying. it just gets in the way of my shows and things I want to do. also I have sleep apnea. lately I have not been getting sleep at night and now I sleep during the day. at night It seems like no matter how tired I get I get hyper and fidgety. also during the day I fell tire even though I usually fall asleep at 5 and Wake up at 2, this is 7 hours. I know that's better than th e12 hours I used to get but I fell sleepy all the time now.

so my 2 question are. am I self consciously avoiding sleep. also why do I feel tired all the time even though I get the required amount of sleep,

  1. you may be avioding sleep, yes.. I have done it before when there is so much that I would rather be doing, like Yahoo! Answers, lol. As for still being tired, not everyone needs the same amount of sleep. I have met a few individuals who only needed 4 hours of sleep a night and would wake up rested for the rest of the day. They would be awake and alert for 20 hours no problem. I wish! There is so much I could do with that time! But I am one that needs 8 hours of sleep and 2'ce a week, I need a good 10 hour one. Some people can't function well on less than 12. So really it is an individual thing. Hey if you only needed that much, you might not aviod it, lol. But that is not your lot.

  2. I don't know about hating sleep, but you sound like you could be bi-polar. Do you take medication? You might need some for sleeping.

There is a well documented case of someone who decided to try and stay awake for days on end and by the 4th day, not only was he draggin a^^, but he had started hallucinating.  Point is, the brain NEEDS you to sleep so it can rest and process all the stimulation you've been giving it. Also, b/c of sleep apnea you are not really getting rested during those 7 hours. For that you need to get a breathing machine to help you rest.

I don't know if you're self conciously avoiding sleep , but it's a possibility b/c then you won't be tired, or have to deal with the apnea thing.
