Is it possible to have 2 rainbows in 2 different places at the same time??

My title pretty much explains my question.............. Can you have 2 rainbows in 2 different towns, at the same time??

  1. I don't know but I have seen two complete rainbows, one above the other.

The relative position of the sun,the raindrops and the observer is important for this optical illusion(the rainbow) to occur.There is possibility that such a criterio is met at different places of the earth at the same time and hence different rainbows at different places at the same time can be seen by different people.

  5. When a person looks at a rainbow he sees it starting in a certain position and ending in a certain position. However, when a second person - who is standing in another place - looks at the rainbow he will see it starting and ending in a completely different spot. So the two people are effectively seeing different rainbows, with different starting and ending positions. That's why you will never find a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow!
