If so how can I get one within like one year? Right now I have a 25inch vertical.

  1. A 25" vertical is pretty good. (I'm assuming Tony's Girl is a high school girl.)

Stand on the edge of a board or low step with your heals unsupported.  Raise up and down with your toes until you feel it in the calves.  This really strengthens your legs.

Jump vertically touching a wall only with your fingers.  Repeat 10 times without stopping.  Try to make your last jump as high as your first.  This helps endurance.

If you are short and need a lttle extra blocking heighth, experiment with modifying your jumping technique.  A lower start position gives some extra inches, but introduces timing problems.  Try to use your arms more to squeeze out the extra inches.

finally, if you need more height on spiking, make sure that you are hitting with your arm fully extended.  Emphasize getting more speed in your first two steps and converting that momentum into a straight-up jump.

(This is some pretty intense coaching since all I know about you is your yahoo I.D.  Good luck!)

  2. I do not think it is possible to have a 4 foot vertical.

  3. The best vertical I know of was 44" by some wide receiver from the NFL. 48" is 4 feet, so the answer is no. There are many tools and things to increase vertical, though. Just check out any volleyball catalog.

  4. Yes it is possible .Not now but in future.

  5. It probably is possible, but there's a very slim chance anyone does. I've never heard of anyone who has a 4 ft vertical, but if someone does, it's probably a guy.
