Is it possible to have a chat or a discussion board within a site?

I have a site and want to know how to set up a discussion board or chat on it. I have not found any details of this on Yahoo. It should be a place where we can go to discuss, etc., and when closed I guess none is saved. That would be fine, as I would put resolved issues on our files. Thanks! If that is not possible, is the best way to open a new message board for each chat? Thank you so much.

No up until  a couple of years back there was a chat available on groups but no more.  I don't believe you can create a chat group either although that was also possible at one time.
