Is it possible to have a doc. that can be constantly added to by group members?

In files I'd like to create ones that group members can add to without me doing all the work like a file on travel and they continually add where they've been. I've added to files but have always had to go back and resave then delete old file and reload new file. Right now everything is in Word, would PDF be better? Any suggestions?

I think the database can do what you're wanting, but a file can not. the only one who can add to a file as far as I know is the person who created the file
