Ok, I know that sounded alittle crazy, but I am the owner of Mallard ducks. I have 3 females and 1 male Mallard. All 3 of my females and hatched over 25+ducklings. They are free to run on my property, and they have no threats. I dont want to have cage them up separately. Ive call around my hometown area and most vets only work on cats & dogs.

  1. That's a good question. I don't really know...if I were a duck expert I'd be able to tell you. Why don't you ask a duck expert?

  2. Yes. Araldite fixes most things.

  3. Well, I have some news for you.  Most vets will treat birds, but when it comes to water fowl, many of them don't want to treat them. It is possible to have a duck fixed, but it MUCH easier to just toss away the dang eggs.  Did you know, that the male reproductive organ in a duck disappears in the fall?  And then reappears in spring.  All you have to do is stop letting them hatch their eggs.  Many people love to cook and eat duck eggs, or just toss them out.  It will cost you to have a duck fixed, but doesn't cost anything to get rid of the eggs.  If you can't keep track of them, you have too many ducks to care for and should get rid of some of them.  They will interbreed just like cats will and you can find yourself up to your neck in them.  Please read my profile.
