Is it possible to have a security system monitored if you do not have a phone line?

yes, discounting the voip option (as you still need some kind of phone line or cable for adsl etc) a lot of new systems are availible that have what is basically a mobile phone in it, complete with sim card, battery etc and are used for areas with no phone service. if your wanting one its worth talking to a local alarm firm as these are alrams that are installed rather then bought off the shelf in most cases

yes!!! since many more ppl have VoIP now....you will find many companies using Voip line for  security....ADT and Vonage use it!!
