  1. I don't think it would be spiritual, but a connection, yes. Kindred spirits

  2. Yes, and it is not always a positive one. Have you ever gotten an a message someone was adding you as a contact and had an instantaneous almost palpable sense of evil intent if not simply evil? I have. I sat and stared at it for several minutes. Unless it was recently and by mistake, that is the only one that I have not immediately made it mutual. As it turned out, I was absolutely correct in my feelings. I thought it was perhaps directed at or the result of an answer I had sent to a young Muslim woman not long before that, but it turned out I was the target. Getting a bunch of Q&A's may not be so bad, but accompanied by the vulgar, hate-filled and profanity laced email messages that accompanied it all was quite an experience.

On the other hand, and since they were so positive I decided to close on a positive note, I have felt an almost instantaneous spiritual connection with several people on this forum which sentiment they echoed. But perhaps most dramatic of all are some other examples. I will share just one or two, and they are far from the most dramatic, though you will wonder about that by the time you get done. I actually finished and came back to add this little bit you just read.

I have a memory of an event and I was not present. Just as a real memory fades with time, so has this one, but it was very vivid when this happened. My mother was making a trip to her childhood home place. The last part was over an unpaved, mostly single lane mountain road. Twice she had problems negotiating it and once almost ran off the road and over a several-hundred feet high cliff. She was obviously distressed. I was talking to her maybe a month or so after she returned home. She had called me and woke me up. She started to tell me about it and without thinking I said, "I was there. Don't you remember?" I then proceeded to tell her what she said and to whom and what she had done. My memory had me looking over her shoulder from the back seat. To make it short, a time card from work eventually proved I had been nearly four hundred miles away and probably asleep when the incident occurred.

The final one I will try to be exceedingly brief. I think I fell in love with my now ex-wife years before we ever even dated. There was at least a connection I felt with her long ago. But she was taken and I did not want to cause any problems. After she became available and we started seeing each other, I made a several hundred mile trip to see my parents who had moved away. My dad wanted me to take a walk with him to a back section of his farm. I was maybe a hundred feet from the back door when I suddenly got on almost overwhelming urge to call, well, can we just call her Sunny? I went back to the phone in the kitchen and dialed Sunny's number. I was just about to hang up when she finally answered. She had a very strange tone in her voice and asked me why I called her. A strange question I thought, but when she repeated her question after I had answered it and she said, "Yes, but why did you call me NOW?" I got a strange feeling. It turned out unbeknownst to me she had become an alcoholic and in addition had some emotional problems I did not know about either.

She was almost out the door when the phone rang from my call. She had a loaded gun in her purse, a couple of bottles of either wine or some kind of booze and was heading for the Ohio River. She was planning on getting drunk, starting the car and putting the gun to her head and pulling the trigger just before going over a bluff and into the river. She had planned on doing it while I was away and had planned it for some weeks. I never knew any of it until long after I got back and we had gotten married.

I am very sceptical and hard to convince without almost iron-clad proof. I will tell you it is possible all those were simply strange coincidences and my memory of my mother on that mountain road just a dream, but I do not believe they were. You may not have been there, but I was. I know what I felt. I know what happened. I know the difference between a memory and a memory of a dream. I may not have presented scientific proof, but it is enough proof for me. I think you know by now how I feel about long-distant connections. And yours? I would like to hear it if you do not mind.

Edit: I wish I had had the additional details when I started. I had two ways I could have gone. The one you were looking for is the one I did not choose. But this has taken a lot out of me and I can do no more for now. Sorry. But the conclusion is the same. Yes, and since it is only the body that dies, not us, that makes it even more possible.

  3. lol i  believe in like paranormal stuff so sure idk if this would be one of them but  you can if you really know that person idk if like i get a number or a name or something u should deffently try to rember and look for it

  4. Yes, It's called the Internet.

  5. Yep... I have one currently.  It's awesome.  Two, actually.

    What's wrong with dead people?

  6. I don't see why not.  People have spiritual connections with their God.  He isn't even in this realm.

  7. i really dont know i think maybe....anything is possible.

  8. Yes.  My best friend James and I have a strange connection.  One time, when I was living in Oklahoma, and he was back in Washington State (my home), he told me what I was wearing, down to my underwear.  Our connection is so strong that we have to concentrate hard when there's something we don't want the other to know.  For example, he did so when he married his (now ex) wife.  He didn't want me to know, because he knew what I'd say ("You IDIOT!").  I knew they were back together though, I had a dream about him telling me that they were together.

I can communicate with him without a phone, or email, or IM.  When we do talk on the phone, I simply ask him if he knows what's been going on with me.  He tells me, and then asks me the same thing.  I tell him, and then we can move on to more important things, like philosophy, the existence of God (he's a nihilist, I'm a Christian), and existentialism.

  9. it is possible ...we call it the um conection...and technicaly it is not spiritual... .well we belive it is some kind of electromagnetical waves with high enregy and very low (a).... of curse it travels by the speed of light so  you feel concetion .becuse your brain can not translate these waves.

  10. Not spiritual.  We all tend to find a connection with people who we can relate to.

  11. Yes and in fact we have a spiritual connection with every single other person on this planet. The problem is we don't feel it. We are all part of one soul and what we perceive as our own individual selfs, is really just a piece, if you will of this one great big creation we call humanity.

I realize you might not have asked this question expecting to get this sort of an answer but until we understand the reality of our very purpose in life ,that being to reunite ourselves with one another on this spiritual level that you mention, we can only continue on as we always have. With out this knowledge and sensation of our true work at hand, we have nothing to motivate us forward towards our real goal.

I used to have this same kind of question myself along with how would we feel this kind of connection and the ability to prove it somehow if we actually had one. What I found  offered in religion and other belief systems was not able to  assist me in finding my answers due to the fact that they are based on my trusting what someone else has decided as truth as opposed to me being able to test and check the validity of it personally.

I linked a site, a video for you to watch if you are interested that explains this whole concept of spirituality and why we need to understand what it is, what it isn't and that our participation in this reconnection of our one collective soul is the reason for our very existence. I hope it  helps in answering your question and gives you some understanding behind what you might be feeling. Thanks for asking, I know a lot of people are curious about this as well. Best wishes.

  12. Sure it is

  13. you mean a dead person?yes some people think they have done it.

    not everyone has that power

  14. Of course, I spoke with a spiritual friend of mine in the UK by cell phone just today.

  15. No.

  16. Yes, of course.  If you both live a life of  prayer and meditation and are both connected in soul and spirit by feelings of deep affection and love..everything is possible.. It has happened to me..
