  1. Yes, high cholesterol is not all diet. Family history plays a big roll too.

  2. yes of course.. cholestrol refers to the amount of oil/ fat in your arteries.. continue your diet of mcdonald's and pizza, you're gonna get your arteries clogged up and die of heart attack some day.. Sounds scary? But it's TRUE... no matter how much you exercise, if you don't watch your diet, that's how you're gonna die.. Mark my words.

  3. Some people are genetically predisposed to high cholesterol.  My mother can't get hers below 225 even on the strongest meds and a vegan diet.

  4. high cholesterol isn't just caused by a diet high in fats because it can also be the person's heredity... so ask people in your family if they have high cholesterol.

  5. no matter what u look like your cholesterol level reflects on what u you put in yourself so yes it could

  6. Yes it is possible - especially with your screwed up diet.  But, apparently you're gonna do what you're gonna do - so any answer about trying to eat a balanced diet will be in vain.  If you haven't tried in 4 or 5 years to bring it under control -  why try now?

  7. yes in fact most people who are naturally thin eat more fatty foods because they naturally stay thin, so they take in more cholesterol, but Some fat people eat healthy but are just naturally fat, and then there are real fat people who eat bad and are in bad health, so just because your naturally skinny doesn't mean your naturally healthy

  8. I think it can be passed on from a family member, who also has it.

  9. yeah it is VERY possible.

I had a friend who was probably 5'10 and 130 lbs but died of a heart attack because of high cholesterol - ate junk food and fast food all the time.

  10. 203 is barely high but yes it is possible if it is hereditary and if you eat bad. Mine is hereditary and I am thin and only 20. Mine was up to 260 and I have broughten it down by taking those promise shots.

  11. It is for sure possible for you to have high cholesterol if your thin. The food you it determines that. And though your metabolism may be high your body is still having to process all that fat and cholesterol in the foods you like to eat. Just try cutting out the fast food and see if that helps. Best of luck!

  12. very possible!!

especially is it runs in your family!

  13. Yes, it is.  High C isn't merely related to diet but the body can produce cholesterol.

  14. yeaa, a big part of having high cholesterol is what you eat.

  15. Yes you can have high cholesterol and be skinny. There is lots of that in my family

  16. of course it is. cholesterol comes from bad foods darling. even the skinniest people can get clogged arteries, so be careful, its a very high health risk! causes heart attacks.

  17. yeah i know someone who has that too

just watch the fries and stuff

    everything in moderation...

    good luck!

  18. Hey... it is possible to have high cholesterol even if you are fit and thin.

I don't know about the number you used though... I think high is anything above 5.5 mmol/L.

Also, they check your coronary risk ratio... (Cholesterol/HDL Cholesterol). A ratio greater than 5 may be associated with coronary heart disease.

  19. yes it is possible

a few years ago my doctor told me i had worse cholestrol than an old mans! and i was soo skinny

now im still skinny but mostly muscular as i eat well and exercis 5 times a week

  20. You need to see a Dr. again so he can tell you if you just need to take care of it by diet, or with medication as well. Anyone can have a high cholesterol level no matter how healthy or how thin they were....... ;)
