last night i had a dream. i was at some carnival and it felt as if i was younger than i am today. i'm 14. there were a lot of games there and it felt as if like you push a button and u go into this whole new world. it sound kinda weird but i remember that i saw myself as a baby crawling into one of those "portals". i was with my sister and we were jumping around and i even remember telling her in my dream "i was here before" and i explained to her what we have to do and how to do it. i really felt like i was there before and she even said it herself in my dream that she was "here" before. i'm afraid to ask her about it because she might be confused. should i ask her about it and give her details? is there a reason to why i had a dream like this?

  1. One thing is for sure, and that is that when we dream, sometimes our brain creates a situation/illusion that we "recognize." Maybe b/c the dream itself is a culmination of different experiences that you saw and lived, and therefore there are certain elements about it that you remember. I too have had dreams where I would look around and say "Hey, I've been here before," or when I would be in a place that could in no way exist on this Earth, yet it seemed so familiar I felt that I knew it as well as I would my own home.

I noticed in your dream that you have a lot of symbols of childhood...the carnival, the vast selection of games (similar to the seemingly innumerable opportunities we have open to us as young children), the wonder of a new place, and even the transformation into small children. You are with your sister b/c she is family, and that might be a small fragment of the dream that made it seem familiar. Or, it might have been the fact that it reminded you of how you felt when you do things with your family.

Anyway, I think you had this dream b/c you feel as if you losing something...or that you are slowly becoming something different, something unfamiliar.

I love to talk about my dreams with my sister, and I don't think she would find you strange or confusing at all, although it is highly unlikely that you both had the same dream. But maybe talking with her will bring up more suggestions from her...after all, every dream can have thousands of meanings...

...but it is the dreamer who determines the true meaning of the dream, because it came from their thoughts, no?

Hope this helps a tiny bit!
