Is it possible to hook up a computer to a old coax cable-only tv with a RF modulator using an s-video cable?

i can't get it to work, when i plug them all togeather, nothing happens. how do i get the computer screen to appear on my television. I know to get my dvd to come on, i have to turn the power on to get the fuzz to stop and the dvd screen to pop up, but a computer doesn't really have a power button. what am i doing wrong?

  1. The easy answer is that if your computer's video card doesn't have a coax jack then it won't work.  If you have a VCR or something else with an s-video input and a coax output, that will work.  What you need is something to combine the s-video signals.  There used to be connectors that did this, but it is unlikely that'll you'll be able to find those at any prominent chain store, but some smaller home electronics stores might have them lying around.
