  1. No. The Human Torch is a comic book character, it's not real.

    With plenty of fireproof clothing and special fuels, Hollywood stuntmen can create a pretty good illusion, however.


  2. In chemistry studies, I learned how to make Cold Fire. Mom nearly went crazy when she saw my arms covered with flames. You can't cover your body with it, because you need to breathe. It won't hurt you. The worst part is getting it lit. You may burn yourself slightly then. For movie stunts that have men covered with flames, an asbestos suit is worn. A good stuntman can hold his breath several minutes. My room mate has the first two seasons of "The fall Guy", and one episode shows his pal doing one of the burnt alive stunts.
