  1. Why would you want to?

You would have to tap into the transmission computer.

Its should be easy enough if you have OBDII...but still...

  2. of course it is, it's actually pretty easy if it is a '96 or newer. Automatics from the factory are not set up to shift at point for optimum acceleration they are set up to shift at the smoothest point possible without causing damage to the transmission (slipping). Shifting at the point for optimum acceleration is kinda jerky like a manual transmission. WWW.gtechpro.com sells an accelerometer that has a built in shift light to tell you when it actually is the optimum rpm to shift, as well as what your vehicle's actual horsepower and torque and many more other figures you probably never knew about. By the way, all you have to do to install a gtech is apply suction cups to glass, and plug it into the cigarette lighter.

  3. Listen Speed Racer if you wanna look cool by having a spotlight in your face every shift point first you should start by gettn a manual. Yes you could hook up the tach but what do you need a shift light for when the car shifts automatically? Save yourself the embarassment and dont do it unless you get a manual first.
