Yes you can, I always use a new gasket bacause I always tear the old one on every attemp ive ever made at it. Any how after you have the gasket in there put rope down in the channel where the window will end up at in the gasket. Make sure its one continues peice of rope. I start a a lower corner and end it at the lower corner. Then place the windshield onto the gasket as you pull the rope out of the gasket it pulls up the lip of the gasket and you press down on the windshield to seat it into the gasket channel. Its alot easier than it sounds, you might make a couple of trys before you get the glass to initially start.
