Is it possible to install ubuntu on a mac powerbook G4? If so could you tell or show me how to?

After trying to install ubuntu on an external hard drive and finding out that it is ALMOST impossible, I decided to give up and try installing Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy) on my mac powerbook G4.

My power book has:'

1.5GHz PowerPC

2GB DDR SDRAM (note it is not DDR2)

and forgot rest since I dont have the thing with me at the moment

but if it is possible please tell me how. Thanks
