  1. That makes my eye ball hurt just thinking about it.

  2. not possible.  You have intrinsic muscles attached to your eyeballs.

  3. No.  If you tried it, you would twist the optic nerve and maybe damage it beyond repair, or burst your eyeball in the attempt.  Either way, you would be blind in that eye.

  4. Your vision will be literally upside down. The ground would be 'up' and the sky would be 'down'. It will be difficult at first but eventually your brain will adjust to it. However, this doesn't apply to young children if it was inverted in the earlier stages of their lives while the brain is still developing. It just screws it up.

You can experiment this without the surgery by creating a mask/goggles with mirrors and lenses to invert your vision.

Kind of like the experiment where they kept a kitten in the dark from seeing anything but vertical lines from birth and afterwards, it caused them to permenantly to only reconize vertical lines but not horizontal lines.

This has been tested on monkey before but I'm sure they don't allow it anymore. Something to do with Animal Rights.
