  1. It really varies by school. If the team you want to join is at a large school, with a lot of advanced tennis players, who are better than you, than it is not likely. However, if you intend on joining a small team, that needs players, the school and their coaches may be more willing to accept from outside schools. I would suggest looking into public school's teams, because they are usually more open. Also, you might want to find out if anyone from your school is on a tennis team. I'm sure someone at your school plays tennis. If they have it worked out, you could ask them what they do.

My sister goes to the small high school in our town, and the large highschool in the town next to us started an ice hockey team. Even though she never played before, she was able to join that team, and was on it for a few years. Now, would she have been able to join a more populated team of a different sport, I am not sure.

I hope you are able to get on a team, either at another school's team or at a raquet club. Good luck, I hope this helped
