I'm a 11th year student this year, I want to sign so I can get a jump start. I know that in the Army you can join and go into DEP and go into basic during the next summer. Does the Air Force have something like that?

  1. no.

  2. If you are seventeen and have a parents consent you can join as a DEP. But I want to say that you can't go into basics until after you've graduated from high school or I guess if you drop out and get your GED? I'm not positive but I know you can at least sign up to be a DEP until you finish high school and then soon after you can go to basics.

  3. No, Im pretty certain you have to be 18 years or older in order to qualify. The closest you can get is to join an ROTC program in your high school.

  4. I am an Air Force recruiter. At 17, with your parents' permission you can enter the Air Force delayed enlistment. This means you can take your physical and reserve your job, but you will not actually go to basic training until you graduate. Now if you are just starting your junior year, you typically have to wait until the spring semester to enter delayed enlistment. If you are getting ready to start your senior year, you can enter delayed enlistment now with your parents' permision. Your local recruiter can help you out. Log onto airforce.com to locate your local recrutier. Good Luck!
