  1. Yes.  If you intend to enlist, you just need to graduate high school.  If you intend to become an officer, you need to have a college degree, then attend the training schools required to be an officer (officer candidate school, plus any leadership courses they require you to take).  All those courses happen after you join though.

  2. Yes it is. You need to speak with a Marine recruiter (you can look it up in the phone book or on-line). They'll go through what it takes to find out whether or not you qualify.

  3. Oh yes...We will take anybody, that is if you qualify!  You can become the workhorse of the Marine Corps like me.  Why go to NROTC to become an Officer when you can become enlisted like me?  Can't become Sergeant Major or Chief Warrant Officer as an Commissione Officer, can we?

  4.    Of course stupid, just walk into your nearest Marine Corp recruiting office its in the phone book.

  5. Yes. The ROTC program can be a stepping stone to becoming an officer or it can help you promote. It also gives you a chance to enlist as an E-2 or PFC verses going in as an E-1 or Private.

You do not need ROTC to become an officer. You need college or enlist and score high enough and lat move to OCS. There are programs available. At one time you people were also battle commisioned, meaning they were promoted to commission for combat duty.

  6. Yea you can join at any time.  However you cant become an officer with out somekind of an ROTC or officer training school.  Im planning on joining officer training school as soon as i graduate college.
