I found a baby lizard that people normally find in their yards and was wondering if it wouldnt hurt to keep it. It is extremely rare to find lizards out back so i dont want it to get killed by whatever killes them.

Can someone give me tons of info in them?

i.e. food, temp. , enclosure size, life span, maturity...etc....

  4. Let it go.

If you want a lizard, then go buy one from the pet store.

It probably wont survive long if you keep it.

  5. Congratulations on capturing and terrifying a local anole.

Wild lizards seldom survive in captivity.  Capturing a wild lizard causes stress.  Stress represses the immune system and the animal falls prey to illnesses and diseases it otherwise wouldn't get.

Wild lizards can also carry disease and parasites.  It serves a purpose in wild, and that's where it belongs.

How would you like to go from having the run of your whole house and yard to being able to ONLY live in the bathtub?  That's what you're attempting to do to that poor animal.

It is already in stress.  Do the right thing, and let the terrified reptile go.

If you truly desire to have an anole as a pet, then google them.  Once you know what its specific care/dietary needs are, then set up a habitat and adjust the temperatures it needs.  THAT is the time to bring home a captive hatched lizard.

    Please let it go.

I hope this has been helpful.
