  1. yes! it is possible but it really depends if you set your mind to it. It you don't give up and are really determined to achieve this goal, yes you will make it.

I suggest you to practice your stroke work at least 30 minutes everyday and slowly build up your yards. Maybe for the first week you try swimming 25 yards without stopping. Then, rest, take slow deep breaths when you stop on the wall, and try going back.

On the next 2 minutes, try to tread water. If you can't do it for 2 minutes the first week, try doing it for 1 minute at first and gradually build up. Do not over push your body to going over your limit because that will be a serious problem and the result may not be so good. anyways, then on the second week maybe swim like 50 yards without stopping.

basically, if you set your mind to it and gradually build up the yards and minutes you tread water, you can really achieve. Good luck!! <3

  2. Depends on how much you can swim to start out with. If you can't swim at all then you won't get really fast times swimming 100 yards but you can sure learn to swim it.

On my old swim team we had to tread water for thirty minutes, and it wasn't like we worked our way up by going a few minutes at a time. But there was other swimming experience.

So like I said, it all depends. =]

  3. well if you know the basics then you should be able to.  you just need to swim every day that week.  100 yards is only 4 lengths of a 25 yard pool which is like most pools.  so that's not bad and five minutes of treading isn't that long.  you can do it if you really want to.  good luck.

  4. yes you can easily do this. 100 yards is only 4 lengths of a pool.
