The key is to avoid attachment to Earthly possessions - easier said than done, especially when you live in the USA, where  the majority of the population judges your worth, not by who you are, but by what you own, even those many hypocrites who call themselves good Christians as they give you snotty looks for not driving a new enough car.

Yes of course !...  there are many  people who set the  examples before us .  Swamy Vivekanand, Maharshi Dayanand, Kabir Das, Mahatma Gandhi,  Mother Teressa, and many more are among them.

The most important  thing to attain this  level is to follow our religion completely ( not just to show others). Because every religion speaks of submitting  our wishes to  Gods will...ones we are capable of understanding this fact, we will be in real peace of mind....and  ultimately we will be able to live with high thoughts and simple living.

yes ofcourse why not ,but this thing is works with gentlemen,sober peoples ,where ever u find sober ppl they live like as u say simple iving high thinking ,,but now these days only 21%ppl beleive in this includes me.

Don't we all wish to aspire to something better than where we are now? Your question is can you be satisfied all the time doing that. As long as your are not depressed thinking "what could be, and why can't I get there" all the time, you are okay. Take care and DO something to change the simple living if you want the high thoughts to become reality.
