Is it possible to lock files on PC's?

I have windows vista and i was just wondering if there was anyway i could lock a folder or file? For example something i don't want other people to just be able to click into it

    its a program that adds a "Lock/unlock" to the context (right click) menu..

    its a small file too..  400-600kb..

  3. You can encrypt the file or folder you want to secure from others. To do this go to the folder, right click and open properties. in the General tab Click advanced. The advanced window pop-up. threre you select Encrypt to secure your folder option.

  4. yes step 1. create a file

                  2.right click on it and look for send to compressed file

                  3.open it right click on it and you can add a password
