Is it possible to lunch a private radio station over net, which can anybody listen from anywhere ?

I want to lunch a radio station over the net. Just like a real radio station, which we listen in a radio. Anybody from any corner of the world can listen the songs. Is it possible, if yes, how?

also check out shoutcast.com -- lots of DJs have used that site to broadcast their playlists for years now.
