I have a pink nursery that I do not want to repaint. How can I make light pink walls boy-friendly? Are there any decor color choices that I can make to have the room seem more masculine?

  1. wall paper, those sticky wall things of characters from cartoons, put posters up

  2. you could always go with pastel colors. get some pastel blue, green and yellow so the pink will fit in really good! pastel colors are unisex for babys

  3. well...this seems almost impossible as light pink is a very girl-oriented color. I would go over-the-top boy with the rest of the room. Pick some blue curtains and very boyish bed sheets. Maybe there's a cartoon character that is pink? I would put down a little rug that is a 'boyish' color like red or blue or something of the sort. I agree with the previous poster about wall decals. These are very cool:

    good luck =)

  4. get a punching bag lol! or do what the first answer said. go with her not me

  5. i wouldn't worry about it too much he is just a baby. also when i was a teen my then 17 year old brother drew the short straw when we moved and got the pink room. strangely enough once he got his stuff in there it still looked like a guys room. throw a few comic book posters on the wall if your super worried about it it should be just fine :D

  6. You can't.  It will always look like a room for a girl.  get over it and paint it if you don't want your boy to be laughed at as a kid or your friends who come over to see him laugh at you!

  7. maybe get a get a border - wallpaper or paint one...that goes around the top or middle of the wall...make sure it's more neutral of a theme or more boy-ish.  You could try getting curtains that would hopefully tone down the pink too.

  8. You could always put up fabric wall panels to black out some of the pink.... But basically this is a room your son is going to grow up in, you'll have to paint it eventually (how many little boys do you know that would tollerate a pink room...it's really not fair to him), so why not make it a fun project with either your other children and/or your husband!
