Is it possible to make a small RV into something more like a tank?

I'm writing a story and I need to know if it is possible to make a small RV into more of a tank, with steel plating or something on the walls? Would it still be able to drive? How would you make the windows safe and keep out intruders?

well possible, yes

probabley strip out the RV, then weld on steel plating all around it covering everything and depending on how much extra metal you put on you should still be able to drive it.  put bullit proof glass on the front so you can drive and cover the rest with steel plating

the larger the chassis the more weight/armor it will be able to carry. no windows just slits big enough to get the gun barrel out and at least 6 feet off the ground.
