  1. sure Macgyver did it

  2. yes, i think it's a neat idea and i believe you should ask that to adam and jamie of mythbusters so they can test if it's really possible.

    Ask them at http://dsc.discovery.com/fansites/mythbu...

  3. No, that would be a Mig.

  4. Yes. You may need some Elmer's glue and rubber bands, but you have the baisics down.

  5. No

  6. I would imagine where there is a will there is a way, I think you might find it a little hard to keep the engine connected to the rest of your aircraft unless you're some handy craftsman talking about a RC project.

  7. you can make a model of an f-16 with them if you like. however the aluminum used on aircraft is much stiffer and usually a mix with something. good recycling idea though but no it is not possible and as far as turbines running on oil its not likely that you are going to get a good run out of it tuirbines run on a different principal than diesel but you can use a bio fuel as virgin airlines did a few months back

  8. Probaby not, but it sounds like fun.

  9. Of course, and this explains why the third world countries have so many of them, and why the people who live in them are skilled craftsmen.

  10. No,as the F-16 design is owned by General Dynamics and is subject to copyright restrictions. The FAA would never allow it to fly as the aluminum in the cans is subject to metal fatigue from the stresses of flying and would disintigrate at low speed, let alone Mach 1.5 .The used cookingoil is enviormentally friendly, but doesn't have enough power for lifting it off the ground, even with afterburners.Of course, you specified Diet Pepsi, which has enough splenda to make it an alternate fuel source, but it doesn't make any difference.

  11. Of course it's that easy.  That's why fighter development takes only months, and aeronautic and propulsion engineers get such lousy salaries.

    Good luck with that.

  12. I will take your question with a little bit of humor, but the real answer would be no.

There are so many none aluminum parts on the F-16.  There are composite fiber parts, Titanium, ceramic, etc that you would just be scratching the surface using the Pepsi cans.

As for the cooking oil the burn ratio of cooking oil to jet fuel is so different that it would not work.

  13. might run like **** but ya. jet fuel and disel arent all that diferent and ive seen a truck on diesel.
