  1. You cannot make it to Park Place on your first roll, but you can make it there on your first TURN.  Assuming you roll again once you roll doubles, but your third roll of doubles would send you to jail, according to standard Monopoly rules.

Here's how it's possible:  On your first roll, you roll a 12, a double 6, which takes you to the Electric Company.  You roll again, a 10 (double 5) which takes you to Chance.  The chance card says "Advance token to nearest Utility", which takes you to Water Works.

You roll a third time (after your second set of doubles) and you roll a 9, which takes you to Park Place.  This is all EXTREMELY unlikely, but possible.

NOTE: The "Advance to Boardwalk" card won't do it.  The question distinctly asked if it was possible to make it to Park Place, not Boardwalk.

NOTE: Dakmor, there is no card that says "Advance to Park Place".  Wikipedia has a list of Chance and Community Chest cards, and that's not one of them.  Sorry.

  2. Yes. There is a Chance card, I believe, that says, "Go directly to Park Place." If you roll a seven on the first turn, or any combination of doubles that lands you on another Chance, and the top card is the one in question, then you will be sent there.

  3. the closest you can get is short line r.r. or boardwalk

  4. Yes it is possible.

You roll 7 landing on "chance". You draw the "Advance to Boardwalk" card.

    Voila!

Edit: Oops! I mis-read the question. Could've sworn it said 'Boardwalk'.  My bad.

  5. Quard: that happened to me, ONCE.  I was so mad though because it was right after we had all agreed to wait to buy until we had all been around the board once!

I think I'm still mad about it!

    :'(

  6. No, it is not.  The highest single roll is 12.  Assuming that you meant on your first turn...

The furthest you can make it is the Short Line Railroad, which is 2 spaces short of Park Place.

Rolling double 6's puts you on the Electric Company.

Since you rolled doubles, you get to throw again, and double 6's again puts you on Illinois Avenue.  The third throw, if doubles, puts you directly in jail, so the highest your third and final roll can be is 11.  That puts you on Short Line Railroad.

    Relevant rules:

If you throw doubles, you move your token as usual, the sum of the two dice, and are subject to any privileges or penalties pertaining to the space on which you land. Retaining the dice, throw again and move your token as before. If you throw doubles three times in succession, move your token immediately to the space marked "In Jail".

The odds of landing on Short Line on your first turn are 1 in 23328.

EDIT:  Honky275 got it right!  I did not think of the chance card scenario.  Good job!
