  1. They should get along no matter what kind of lovebird the new bird is, as long as you keep the male in a separate cage at first. As to whether they breed or not, that depends on what kind of lovebird you're thinking of getting. All lovebirds belong to the same genus (Agapornis), just like how wolves, dogs and coyotes belong to the same genus. So they are fully capable of interbreeding with one another.

If you are thinking of getting a different species, like a masked lovebird, then you have a slimmer chance they will like each other enough to want to mate; in the wild lovebirds only mate with others of their own species, but in captivity hybrids are a bit more frequent.

If the other "kind" of lovebird you're thinking of is just a different color morph, like white or all-green or something, that's a much more recent differentiation, and would be a bit more like trying to breed two different breeds of dog; the birds are still the same species, the only differences are superficial, and the two wouldn't have any qualms about setting up house together.

  2. Yes ,a peach-faced can mate with a Fischer or masked lovebird. But it not a wise thing to do I am sorry to say. A hybrid between a peach-faced and any above could be very ill and it will be sterile. Like a mule. The babies could be so ill they could die. Breeding lovebird's alone is not easy let alone hybrids. Hybrids should only be done by a professional and very rarely. You would need to know many generations back. I woulds tick with one lovebird unless you want hundreds. Female peach-faced lovebirds are very picky about mates and can even kill them if the male does not play nice with her. A female lovebirds will not accept a male younger then here normally. Also lovebirds are very prolific breeders. Meaning many want to keep laying eggs over and over. That can mean death to the bird. Please think very long and hard about this.
