does anyone know if its possible to meet another lucid dreamer in your lucid dream while both of you are lucid dreaming?

Like i read how in a lucid dream you can close your eyes and imagine yourself in a specific place or with a specific person and then be there, so if i got together with another lucid dreamer and we tried at the same time to be together in our dreams, would it work??

  1. No, and don't listen to the people who say you can.

Lucid dreaming is still just dreaming, there's no magic about it.

  2. This is indeed possible, but is very rare.

IN order for this to happen, people have to be on the same psychic frequencies. This usually doesn't happen unless people are very very very close (like tight siblings, couples, and parents and their children, and maybe the occassional best friend).

The reason it's so easy to get on the same frequency as someone close to you, is because you are empathetic to their emotions & hypersensitive to their own energy (or auras).

Sometimes, other people can interject into your dream by using the same frequency, but if you don't know 'em, and it's a scary dream, then these people are usually called psychic vampires.

I've never gotten a result by actively trying.

I have had several dreams where I have 'bumped' into people I know in the dreamland, and, upon the next day, seen them, talked to them & discovered that strangely, we both had the same dream, and what's even stranger we seemed to know that we were meeting purposely in the dream, or had that general feeling in the dream....

If you want to practice, I've read that the best way is to choose someone you are sleeping in the same general area w/. This allows your energies to connect easier (at least for amateurs).

  3. Once you get experience in the field of Lucid Dreaming, have good control over your dream environment and can stay Lucid for a long time is it time to move on. Or if you are an experienced Lucid Dreamer that wants to try something new, then Shared Lucid Dreaming is an interesting approach. Intent is an important key for Sharing a Dream. When you lie in bed trying to fall asleep you need to program this intent to Share Dreams with those you desire, and then when you are in the Dream, you have to recall that intent and attempt to fulfill it. Give yourself appropriate affirmations while you are waiting for the hypnagogic imagery to start. A good way of finding those you desire is imagine them and let the hypnagogic imagery fill out the rest of the details. Once you are in the Dream, make sure you are fully conscious. Check all your senses and do some logical tests. Recall your intent and try a few other techniques if your friend isn't in your dream. You can phase to that person, or imagine a door and talk out loud your desire to meet that person, then open the door. You can also shout and yell for them until they come along. Once you find them comes the big question. Are your friend Lucid? Ask a few simple questions, be friendly and patient. If you know their interest, create them. And try to make them understand that they are dreaming. Do things that normally don't happen in the physical world. When they understand or if they know that they are dreaming, make sure they are fully conscious and that all their senses are working. Once it is established that both of you are dreaming should you point out details in the dream, for later verification. You might also try to bring more people into the dream. When you wake up you should write down everything you could remember, especially the details that were pointed out. A phone call right after awakening may help on the recall.

  4. Yes I believe that anything is possible and what a wonderful dream to be had hehehehe..................

I truly believe that when two souls are connected they can reach each other in dreams I truly believe this but they must be on the same wave length of thoughts and feelings.................

Many times in our dreams they are what you call wishful dreams true but there can be times when you have had lucid dreams with another in it you see the truth of their soul I think it is possible but it takes great training of the conscious mind to the unconscious and again the other person also has to be connected deeply but it can happen if you think about it we are all connected one way or the other in the collective universal light

  5. Interesting question.

I don't think that it would be possible. No matter how hard you try, both lucid dreamers would never arrive at the same exact place. Each person has their own view point on the specified place to meet, even though the majority of the details would be the same, there would be subtle differences cause by the individual. Thus making it impossible to meet at the exact same place.

  6. To be honest, there's not really any substantial proof for/against the possibility of shared dreaming. On the one hand, you have the nay-sayers, who believe that you cannot roam outside the boundaries of your own mind while asleep. On the other hand, though, there have been scattered accounts of shared dreams; while the contact with the other person may have been brief, the amount of dream content that was the same for both dreamers lends credibility to these stories. Personally, I believe that it's possible. It's too cool of an idea to pass up, right? However, it'd take two incredibly talented lucid dreamers and a lot of determination to make it happen.

On a side note, there are several teams of lucid dreamers out there on the net that are actually trying to accomplish this; it might be worth checking into some of their findings on this subject (there's one that formed in the forums of my reference site called "The Chroniclers").

  7. No. There is nothing s**y about lucid dreaming. Lucid dreams do not connect to planes of mystical realms like you'd want to believe. Anything in a lucid dream is concocted by the human mind.
