Question:

Is it possible to minor in a science and major in business?

I want to be a doctor of some kind but i don't want to be stuck with a science major if it doesn't work out so I could major in business and minor in science classes so if i want i can go to med school . . .is that possible does it make sense???

  1. depends on how many years of college, and how well you do. if you don't do well in business, you would still need to be good enough to do med school, which i don't know what the highest degree you need is.


  2. If you want to go to Medical school, just make sure to complete all the required courses (Bio, Organic Chem, etc.). Speak with your academic adviser, and they'll help you make a plan in which your major will be Business, minor will be a science, but you'll take the required courses for Medical school.

  4. As long as you have a strong enough biology/science background to pass your MCATs so that you can get into medical school it is okay for some schools.  You would have to double-check with the med schools you might consider going to after undergrad.

  5. A double major makes more sense for you.  If you want to be a doctor, a major in business isn't going to get you into medical school.  A major in science will.  You can do both, plenty of students have done it.
