  1. Yes.

Taoism goes under the umbrella of paganism.

  2. Just don't tell the Baptists!

  3. Sure.. In fact, some would say Taoism is a Pagan belief.

  4. Easily, taoism,as put by Wikipedia...

Reverence for nature and ancestor spirits is common in popular Taoism....Chinese alchemy, astrology, cuisine, several Chinese martial arts, Chinese traditional medicine, fengshui, and many styles of qigong breath training disciplines are intertwined with Taoism throughout history.

It sounds as though its already pagan....and upon further reading it, they have a hierarchy of Gods and Goddesses.

"Popular Taoism typically presents the Jade Emperor as the official head deity. Intellectual ("elite") Taoists, such as the Celestial Masters sect, usually present Laozi (Laojun, "Lord Lao") and the Three Pure Ones at the top of the pantheon of deities.[33][34]"

"While a number of immortals or other mysterious figures appear in the Zhuangzi, and to a lesser extent in the Tao Te Ching, these have generally not become the objects of worship. Traditional conceptions of Tao are not to be confused with the Western concepts of theism and monotheism. Being one with the Tao does not indicate a union with an eternal spirit in the Hindu sense, but rather living in accordance with nature"

So to answer, your question is a trick question, because Taoism IS a form of paganism.  Just a different "flavor"

  5. You could probably mix almost any religion with any other religion if you wanted to.

(Hey, how do you think most of today's religions got where they are?)

Paganism is not a single religion, its anumbrella term for pre-christian european religions, shamanism, taoism, buddhism, shintoism, hinduism, native american religions, etc.

  7. certainly. Taoism is a philosophy that can be added to any (or no) religion.

  8. "The Way" of Athena's Worshippers...

  9. I think, one can mix any two things because every thing belong to the same one universe.

  10. The cool thing about taoism is its like a really good rum...it mixes with just about anything.

  11. Paganism is NOT a specific religion.  Taoism would fall under the category of pagan religions.

  12. Reverence for nature and ancestor spirits is common in Taoism and in many Pagan faiths as well.
