Assuming you're able to back up the blu-ray disc to another blu ray disc. Sick of games getting scratched up and not working, want to make backups. If someone could post a tutorial, that would be great.

If it's not possible, can you post a tutorial on how to get ps1/2 games to work backed up?

  1. nope, the PS3 firmware is locked up tight.

Ps1/PS2 back ups dont work either.

Also its cheaper to jsut buy a new copy of the game if you wreck the disc, it costs £200/$400 for Blu-ray disc burner anyway, and £5/$10 for a Blu-ray writable disc.

Just look after your disc's hte PS3 uses a sliding tray, not a disk tray liek 360 n Ps2, so it shoudlnt scratch too much.

  2. PS3 has a serious hardware protection against p****y. No one had managed to crack it. It's called "Hypervisor".

  3. just dont be retared and take care of ur 60 dollar games

  4. why would u wanna "back up" games. it is currently impossible to copy a blu ray disc. just don't scratch the games.

  5. Possible yes, likely no.  If you don't ever purchase new games or get online then it is possible as you won't be affected by firmware updates.  The problem is new games often have the firmware built in and require it and many firware updates have detecting features and new anti-p****y features meant to prevent such deeds.  If your kids scratch the game, they can't play it and will start to take care of them... natural consequences.  Take care of the games or get a ps2 and mod it as that is quite easy to do and you can play the ps1 and ps2 games on there.
