  1. Depends on how close you are to 18.  And do not ever count "on people willing to put in some money"  Does not happen for more than one pay period, unless your friends parents are letting you move in with them.

Are you working full time?  and your forgot garbage and water and phones and insurances.

What does NON minimum wage mean?  You are getting paid more or less than that?  What about taxes?

Unless you are bringing home-28K plus which means you are bring making about 30 K but it goes for taxes and Social Security.

Base your monthly expenses on a bit less than 2 K a month and see how fine the line is.

Your best bet is to hang in there, graduate and move into an apartment someone else already has so you do not get hit with all the hook ups and fees.

  2. Yes, because you are no longer a minor.

  3. You can become an emancipated minor

  4. In NY you can move at 17.

Depending on your state, it might be a good idea to look in the phone book under human services or social services and call a local runaway shelter....ask them about some procedures.

Or, go directly to the pdstation and let them know your situation, ask if they can foresee any legal problems with your plans.

  5. you can technichly move out....but you may need assistance, you can not sign a contract until you are 18, so i dont know if you can rent an apt. with a formal lease.

  6. I moved out of my mom's house when I was 17. Matter of fact, I moved to a whole other state. By myself... Well, with my boyfriend at the time... I'm 21 now, doin' just fine, living comfortably. I lived in NC, I don't know how it is where you live.

  7. When you finally get out there, you'll realize how much more difficult it accually is.
