So, I'm 14 and I honestly don't know if I have gotten my period yet or not. I have gone through major growth spurts, I am "curvy", I have b*****s, and hair in all "those" spots. I have also had that clear discharge at times, more than other times. I have also had cramps, or what I thought were cramps in my lower belly, left side and basically right above where the top of my underwear starts. I have also been bloated I think. Headaches, moodiness, etc. Lol, I don't know if a few of these are symptoms or not, just thought I'd throw them in there. So..I'm very confused. Is it even possible that I could have not known I had my first period? I don't really remember if I have had darker dischageish stuff..

  1. My young friend, you will know when you've had a period. Unfortunately, there's just no escaping that feeling of blood secreting from your uterus. So you will know! These sound like all the common symptoms associated with the menstrual cycle, and no doubt in a few months time you will receive your first period. And when you do, there's no way of not noticing it! I'm 19, and started when i was 13. For some reason i was scared that it would really hurt passing blood, haha. But it doesn't. It's the cramps you want to look out for! When you start your period and notice them coming, quickly take some tablets in order to stop it progressing. However, you may find that you don't receive bad cramps for the first few months or years of having your period, like me. But eventually you can't avoid them!

Good luck, and don't worry! Make the most of the remaining time without having the bothersome annoyance of menstruation!

  2. You would need to have blood exit your body.

It is pretty hard not to know, because it gets in your clothes, underwear, and when you wipe, after going to the bathroom, blood appears on the toilet paper.

So, I'd say no. You have not had it yet.

  3. NO, you did not have your first period yet. During your first period you will have blood flowing from your v****a. You better read more about puberty development, when expect first period, menstrual cycle and periods (see below)

  4. I don't think you've had it yet. You'd have had actual blood on your underwear if you had. Although sometimes your first one is lighter, so it could be more brownish than red. You'll probably start soon though, good luck.
