Is it possible to obtain old public school records for your ancestors in the state of maryland?

  1. I have found old old school records for Texas.

    They are on microfilm at our state library.

    I would call MD's state library or if you live close, run there, as it's full of information for us.

    These records tell who the parents or guardians are.

    The other way is to go to your nearest LDS church (no you don't have to join). They have great family research centers and can order the microfilm for you which used to cost $2.50 to rent for 2 weeks. They can find which roll you need.  If you pay the $2.50 fee 3 times in a row, they get to keep the roll there.

    You may be able to find the roll number yourself at www.familysearch.org
