  1. Easily if the policy is a term life, which can be issued for short periods. These policies are outlived all the time. In the case of a whole life policy age 99 or 100 will generally result in an endowment, which is a refund, with interest, as well as the cash value part of the account. Unfortunately, strippers and fast motorcycles are much too hazardous to enjoy at that age after suddenly receiving a large check, particularly since you would no longer be insured, or insurable.

  3. It depends on your policy, but yes it has been know to happen.  When my father reached 99 the insurance company sent his money back (with interest of course).
