Is it possible to own a vauxhall corsa on £150 a week?

ive nearly passed my test and im going to buy one of them new black vauxhall corsa's but i dont know if its possible to keep running it on my wage which is 150.00 a week,can any of you give me some info on this please as i dont know much about cars

I assume 'one of them new black ones' will be on finance: If so, you're being a mug - save up & buy an older car you can afford to buy & run, don't put yourself in debt for something that'll depreciate as well as cost you interest.

No, probably not!  Dont buy a NEW car whatever you do, buy an old banger for the first year while you get experience, then upgrade. Spend about 5 or 600 quid for one, chances are you will put a couple of car park scrapes etc on it while you gaining experience.  Welcome to the world of motoring.

If the £150pw is solely fot the car then yes, if you have to use it to live off then no.

I would say you could well run a Corsa on £150 per week. But have you taken your other living expenses to account. You say your going to buy a new one. At your age, first car, the insurance alone is going to be an arm and a leg. Perhaps HP on the car. Petrol, now were all aware of the price of petrol. I dont want to sound a kill joy, but think very carefully before you go ahead. I`ve always said " A car will keep you poor"            Good Luck

you need to add more details like what your other outgoings are, you will need monthly insurance payments and these will be fairly expensive as its your first car, you need petrol, so depends how much you will be travelling, you need tax every 6 months
