  1. if it was a comic book, they would be paralyzed but they would creat a super suit and become a super hero.

  2. Super sonic means "faster than sound". If you use sound for your weapon it will not be faster than itself.

Sound has been used as a weapon. It generally disorients the human opponent. Trouble is, the source of the sound must be close to the enemy.

In warfare, many people were severely injured and even killed from the sounds and shock waves of canon fire. Some became partially or totally paralyzed.

Dolphins use sound to stun their prey and sometimes they can kill with it.

  3. No.  There is no such thing as a "supersonic sound wave", although there are such things as shock waves.  A sufficiently intense shock wave can cause physical damage; that is basically what an explosion does.

  4. sound waves cant be supersonic. sonic means sound so you would be saying that the sound waves move faster than the speed of sound, which is impossible, which makes the whole question irrelevant

  5. Yes, it is possible to do that with hypersonic sound waves (pressure waves at above 20 KHz -- upper limit of human hearing), or even infrasound pressure (signals below 20 Hz).  Everything happens in the brain and its "inputs" are not limited to just the normal hearing range (20 Hz to around 20 KHz).  The bones (especially the skull) will conduct pressure waves into the brain that can completely bypass the ears.  Indeed, the brain and brain fuction can be influanced by such pressure waves.

The thing to keep in mind is: the brain response to complex wave form signals (EEGs) and does not responsed to signals that are sine wave and linear in nature (broadcast transmissions).  If it did, we humans could not survive in our current (RF signal filled) environment.  If a hypersonic-wave signal is "modulated" in a nonlinear fashion, it is possible to influance and, maybe even control, brain and bodily function remotely, from afar.  It is within the scope of current technology to literally "tune" into an individual's nervous system and cause them to experience, say, a heart-attack without leaving a trace of physical evidence as to its cause.

And these very same effects can be created using high-frequence RF such as microwaves.

  6. If you are a Power Ranger

  7. Sure like Bugs Bunny said... " you can do anything in an animated cartoon"

  8. jhmm? as many ppl have said b4 dre nuthin like a supersonic snd wave.....but if u meant soundwaves w/ a frequency beyond tht of d audible range then yes. but not paralyse as in freeeze the person in his state or sth...its mre like disorient and make him have convulsions. it works by creating an inner ear imbalance making u feel dizzy disoriented and nauseous....thts just ONE kind of mechnsm thts involved, dre r many many mre though....a simple search on howstuffworks.com should help u out(though im nt sure if they have stuff on ths)
