Is it possible to pay something on ebay without having a paypal?

because i ordered something off ebay today and i dont have a paypal account.

all i did was enter my credit card # and that was it.

  1. Yes, for each auction you can see what sort of payment the seller accepts and as you learned, some accept other forms than paypal,,

Yes.  You have to read the requirements for payment of the seller...many will take a personal check and wait for it to clear, or a postal money order, or a credit card...etc.  But paypal is easy to set up....you might be glad to just get on it.  You don't have to keep a lot of money in it...just put some in when you want to pay for something.  I use it all the time....

    Handing your credit card number directly to someone could be a chance taking event. having PayPal gives your PayPal number instead of the actual number(just guessing) so as to avoid complications such as fraud.
