Question:

Is it possible to pee through a waterpolo suit?

I am in a water polo team and our team sponsor wants to buy some new swimsuits for the team. Until now we have lycra suits. He thinks that polyester / rubber suits would better. (More stable, its not so easy to grasp anybody...)

I know it is not that nice to pee in a pool but sometimes in a match you just have to. And I know others do that too. Is there anybody who peed in one of these rubber waterpolo suits? Is that possible? Or does it hurt?! Or is it a very nasty feeling?

  1. nah it doesnt hurt, there not water proof. but they do hold in the warmth a bit more which is good.

  2. hahaha sorry Trey9860 but in water polo you don't always have a choice!

naw i've always had the "rubber" suits and have never had a problem doin it LOL

we had a coach once that refused to let us out to go pee. if we asked she would tell us to go in the corner... and the guys teams don't care... they do it everyday!

lol don't worry about it.... thats what the wonderful chemical us swimmers always smell like is for! CHLORINE! :-)

  3. It's not only not nice, but not healthy for the other competitors in the pool, you could get your pool shut down doing something like that. My word of advise to you DON'T DO IT.

  4. Yes it's fine to pee through one of these suits.  At least on my team, it's normal to just go in the pool when we're playing or in the middle of practice.

What I recommend is to try in practice, you can swim far away from everyone and do your pee where nobody's paying attention.  Then you'll realize it's fine and you won't have to worry next time your at a match!
