Is it possible to play an American Xbox360 on a British TV using HDMI input?

I am planning on buying a HDTV in England and bringing my American Xbox 360 with me. Will I be able to connect the Xbox to the HDTV using either HDMI, Component or Composite inputs?

Yes, you can use the HDMI and component as it will not make any different. But the TV that you will buy need to be compatible with HDMI if you want to use HDMI output but component will work just fine if it is HDTV.
