IT DOESN'T WORK! Seriously, I tried it with my friend once and it was STUPID! It will work even WORSE if you play it by yourself, though. Don't waste your time!

First of all, yes, unfortunately it is. Two, I highly reccommend you return that thing to the place that you bought it. What they fail to tell you on the pakage is the way a Oujia board works. It opens a portal where ever you use it, and said portal remains open. And from personal experience, nothing from what religions consider "heaven" EVER comes out of a Oujia board. Everything comes from somewhere else....dont ask me because I dont know where, but the things that come out never have good intentions, and almost always come out evil. Once the portal is open, I've heard they're impossible to close. And I would know. There's one in my basement from when i was younger and playing with one of those things, and it's been spawning nasty spirits into my house ever since.

Trust me. Return it before it's too late. Sorry if I'm scaring you, but I don't want you to have to see what I've seen.

No, the Ouija board is supposed to be played with lots of people so you can not tell who is moving the plastic thing around the board.  Ghosts, spirits, etc. do not exist.  That game is just for fun and people move the piece, not ghosts.  If you try to play by yourself, you'll see that nothing happens unless you move it yourself.

Yes but it's not a particularly good idea in case an ancient demon/ghost decides to make an appearence and scare the c**p out of you. Oh and don't go in the corners... seriously bad luck.

Yes, I heard that the way that works is that you start moving it yourself but somehow it's subconcious yet concious at the same time? I really don't know how to explain it, sorry about that.

First of all, don't listen to all that junk about opening a portal to another world full of demons.  There is no such thing, and Ouija boards certainly do not have any link to the spiritual world.  Take it for what it is- a simple game board that uses cheap parlor tricks to amuse one's friends.  Do you really want to know how it works?  You and your friends push the little pointer toward the answer you WANT to hear, whether you know it or not.  

So, in answer to your question, sure- I suppose you can use it on your own, as long as you have arms to move it!
