Is it possible to plug in a 8800gt graphics card into a Dell OptiPlex GX260 ?

  1. As from what i can gather from dells rather confusing website, no its not. according to there service manual for your computer it only has a AGP graphics slot which will really limit your upgrade choices. Im not 100% but i dont think they  make any of the Nvidia Geforce 8 in an AGP option.

  2. Sorry, nope!. The GX 260's motherboard uses the outdated Intel 845G chipset that only supports AGP cards. If your GX 260 uses a slim case instead of a tower, you can only use low profile cards. Power graphics cards would also need a powerful power supply.  

  3. As long as you have a PCI Express slot in your system.
