Is it possible to purchase those special rubber bands used to hold together the small G.I. Joe action figures?

Some of my old G.I. Joe toys have had the rubber band, which holds the figure together, broken because of overuse. I usually try to use regular rubber bands to hold them together but now I'm looking for the authentic rubber band that came with the toy when I first got it. Are there retailers that sell those special kind of thick and small rubber bands?

They are actually held together by 3/8" rubber plumber's o-rings from your local hardware store.

I would assume you could write to Hasbro if they have a website.  That or you could try hobby shops maybe.  When I was a kid I had a lot of the old ones too.  One of my old Snake Eyes the rubber band busted on me and I wasn't happy about it.  Some of them migt actually be worth money now too.
