Is it possible to put a search box in to a spreed sheet. say for somthing like a price list.?

for a price list were it would take to long to go throung all the materails. serch the one i want and excel would go to it.

yes. look at the options in the top of the spread sheet. It differs with the versions though.

If you do not want to tweak with your spreadsheet version, you could always use the find option of your os. Otherwise, there are options to add a search-box, as well as third party programs that can be bought and downloaded to perform the searches for you.
