  1. Much cheaper to convert the car to a 2.4L turbo, as the 2.0L motor will not stand the increased cylinder pressures with stock pistons, if you are adamant about the 2.0L, buy forged low compression pistons and use 2.4L head and turbo off PT, or SRT4, intake and exhaust, computer etc. The transaxle is the weakest link, SRT4's have the best transaxle, LSD will help traction.

  2. its way easier on that one to change it to a 2,4 ,then you can use the turbo from a pt cruiser or the turbo neon ,the 2.0 you have wont take much on the lower end ,the engine just wasn't designed to take much, the 2.4 was though and anyone from a pt cruiser or the neon srt-4 will work on it,you can turbo charge it real easy this way, there's a few normal looking neon's running around where i live at that are turbo charged and they run really good, good luck.

  3. Locate one off a PT cruiser or a turbo Neon. Keep in mind that you will need to change out the head bolts so you can handle the added pressure that will be forced in to the engine. You will also have to pull the intake and exhaust manifolds of the Donor car to make it a clean swap. If at all possible I would purchase the whole motor and computer out of the donor car as the non-turbo computer will have problems if not changed out. If you’re unable to locate a good donor car Chrysler offers these parts out of their performance catalog.

  4. Yes, it's possible.  A turbo charger is an easier set up but if you want a challenge, a supercharger can be done.

Clink on the link below for a Hahn turbo kit made specificially for the 2003-2005 Neon 2.0L engine

  5. That's because the transmission in the Neon were junk and implode with stock HP much less adding a turbo or SC to it.

  6. Your motor is c**p and a supercharger will destroy it. You need to upgrade engines or buy a new car if you want more speed.

  7. No, Your powdered metal pistons wouldn't hold up to the pressure. BOOM.
